[ 4 ] 90 % of deaths occur in Africa , especially in children . For his discovery of the cause of malaria , a French military doctor Charles Louis Alphonse Laveran get the Nobel Prize for Physiology and Medical in 1907 .

Mosquitoes are infected by the parasite plasmodium of bites inflicted on a person who is already infected with the parasite . The mosquitoes will be infected during a weekly until mealtime hereinafter . During the meal , the mosquito then bites another person simultaneously injects the plasmodium parasite into the blood so that the person will be infected with malaria .

There are 4 types of Plasmodium that can infect humans , such as:

The cases of malaria worldwide , concluded that the type of plasmodium vivax is most often found in patients with this disease . Additionally plasmodium falciparum is the major contributor to the death of the malaria disease affecting humans in the world that is around 90 % .
