What Cause An Earthquake To Happen? Read on!

I'm not feeling well today but I still type an article for you guys okay ? :) What is earthquake ? Don't know what it is ? Read to know more about this topic! ^_^

What Is Earthquake ?
An earthquake is the result of a sudden release of energy due to changes in the earth's crust. These changes cause the ground to shake and produce a vibration that travels out from quake focal point. Focal point is the location of " cause "in the ground where the earthquake energy released. Location on the ground at the fulcrum of the earthquake is known as the 'Epicenter'.

Earthquakes are more frequently found in the outskirts of tectonic plaques, where friction between pieces of the earth's crust or volcanic eruption will cause major land transition. Transition of a sudden a huge land will cause an earthquake. Among the areas experiencing frequent earthquakes around the Pacific Ring of Fire is. "Pacific Ring of Fire". Pacific Ring of Fire Ring is a border clash between two tectonic plaques. Indonesia is a neighboring country of Malaysia, also have several active volcanoes and areas near the volcano often also experienced an earthquake.

Type Region of Earthquake
The type of earthquake in the world was divided into two tectonic earthquakes and volcanic earthquakes

Earthquake Tectonics
Tectonic earthquake caused by the release of energy resulting from the friction of the rock in rock fracture extends along the boundaries of tectonic plates. Energy produced by the pressure of rock called tectonic defects. The effect is like a rubber band pulled and released suddenly.

Earthquake Volcano
Volcanic earthquakes occurring near the volcano but has a way of cracking the same elongated tectonic earthquake. Volcanic earthquakes caused by the movement of magma in volcanoes, in which the friction on rocks produce earthquakes.

During magma moves to the surface of the volcano, it moves and break rocks. It resulted in a continuous tremors that can last from a few hours until a couple of days.

Earthquakes happen every day on earth. Approximately 500,000 DDI detected each year around the world, but most are small and do not cause any damage. Small earthquake will accompany large earthquakes, and can occur either before or after the big earthquake. It's called aftershocks.

Seismologists studying the earthquake as the line extends friction resulting earthquake, what happens on the surface of the earth, how energy moves from the earth to the surface of the earth and how this energy causing destruction.

Cause of Earthquake
Earthquakes generated by sudden natural processes such as volcanic eruptions and meteorite impacts. However, mostly due to the earthquake sudden release of accumulated stress in the long term in the rock below the earth's surface. This pressure may be caused by the movement of tectonic plates along the crack line, and glasier known as "Iisostatic".

The crust can bend and fold. When this process occurs, the hard rocks are broken into blocks along the weak zones . When the two sections differed miles horizontally or vertically , the movement known as "faulting". "Faulting" can occur on a small scale or large scale . "Faulting" on a small scale usually occur deep underground and do not seem significant on the surface of the earth.

Bounce "Iisostatic" is another cause earthquakes. Bounce "Iisostatic" refers to the land that sank beneath a thick layer of ice and heavy, bouncing up again due to a layer of ice that has accumulated on top of the liquid or switch . Rebound movement "Iisostatic" will continue to occur, causing earthquakes until as the pressure reached in the earth's crust.

Earthquakes can also be caused by human activities such as the construction of large-scale dams. Total volume of water accumulated causing high pressure on the bottom layer of earth dams cause rebound "Iisostatic" that caused the earthquake until the pressure reached in the earth's crust.

Earthquake Risk Regions
Earthquakes can occur anywhere around the world at any time and without any indication and it is inevitable. Most earthquakes occur along the edge of the ocean and continental plates. Plate stands crust layer . Plate on the surface of the ocean floor called ocean plate. This plate will move due to the movement of the Earth mantle that lies beneath the crust layer . Between the plates will always happen collision , push and rub each other and speed the movement of these plates can be described as the growth rate of nails on our fingers.

From the history of earthquakes that occurred before, most of the earthquakes that occurred due to a meeting between the two plates. There are also earthquake away from the edge of the sea on the outskirts of longitudinal fracture (fault). 'Fault' is a crack in the earth's surface caused by two plates moving in different directions or caused by the collision between the plates.

Effect of Earthquake
Tremor is not only the cause of death and destruction in an earthquake but it involves a lot of geoenvironmental changes. which include tremors , fracture and displacement of soil, soil liquefaction, landslides, fires, tsunamis and change shape region.
In particular magnitude earthquake could shake, crack, break up and shift the earth's surface. Besides it, the structures will crack and collapse (large building) or broken (dam) or break (bridges, tunnels, pipelines, roads) as a result of this movement.

For soil liquefaction, when an earthquake occurs, vibration and compaction can augment the pore water pressure and cause water saturated soil and changed so a liquid nature. Building will be tilted or crawling, pipelines and floating may arise due to land it settles.

Landslides caused by the vibrations cause the unstable slopes, hills and steep mountains falling on and destroy structures above, below and along the path.

Gas pipe leaks and broken power lines can produce appreciable portion of the fire difficult to control (state of emergency in terms of energy and equipment).

Tsunami seismic waves occur when there is a shift in the ocean floor or large cracks causing sea water fall fill. As a result a large wave action formed at sea reach 800 km / h with a wavelength that reaches 100 ? Km . Wave amplitude may be only a few meters, but when the waves approaching the continent, it slowed to < 60 km / h resulted in a reduction of wavelength and amplitude enhancement (probably more than 20m). Tsunamis can also be created as a result of volcanic eruptions on the sea floor or large rock debris or ice floating in the sea suddenly.

Changes terrain is an earthquake region can shift the rocks and soil surface vertically (lifting and lowering), horizontal or oblique. As a result the ground water level changes, and sea level , which also interferes with the process of erosion, land depletion and flooding. Shift valleys and ridges may produce a fault lakes may produce a fault lake.

What To Do During Earthquake Happens
All people of the world must be prepared to face any eventuality happens like an earthquake. Earthquakes can occur at anytime and anywhere. Therefore, all people should have the knowledge and preparation during the earthquake.

Building
Once inside the building , we can take cover under tables, desks or strong bench . Select a location that can provide air to breathe in a situation where the building collapses around you but avoid getting close to the windows, bookshelves, cabinet, heavy mirrors and other heavy objects that can slide and fall. Take something like a coat, blanket, book, newspaper, cardboard and other things to cover your head and face from falling material and glass fragments. You also should never use candles, matches or other flame sources such as deleting computer switches, and all electrical equipment is possible due to a gas leak and fire.

High buildings
Shelter use duck, cover and hold, and then leave the building if the transfer is required. Do not use the elevators and follow the building evacuation procedures . If you are in an elevator, but if stranded out immediately, immediately contact the building with interphone provided.

Building Near Hiking Trails
Walking into a doorway or close to building structure to protect yourself from falling bricks, glass, plaster and other items that fall. Protect your head also handbags, books, files or any other items you are carrying. If not carrying any goods, looking for any material that surrounds you as you head protector.

Car
Stop the car as soon as possible when it has a fail-safe in the appropriate area. However , do not stop under a bridge or crossing over or span cable or where the building could collapse on you. Stay in the car until the shaking stops because the car is very good shock absorber. When you drive after a concussion, watch for hazards created by the earthquake as an object that is being or has been dropped, Electricity wires are submerged or damaged walkways or perforated.

Okay, read more info about our environmental and keep in touch with me okay! Don't destroy our environment. We must read about the environmental to save our earth :)
